県庁所在地神戸市は、開港して以来、海外の文化が入ってきた港町。
洋館の建ち並ぶ北野異人館や、ハーバーランド、ポートアイランドなど観光スポットが集まる。
姫路市にある姫路城は江戸初期に現在の姿に整えられ、城全体が白鷺の飛び立つ姿に見えることから別名「白鷺城」とも呼ばれ、日本で世界遺産初の1993年登録。春は桜とのコラボが美しい。
県の北部は旧国名を但馬といい、豊岡市には大正時代のレトロな雰囲気の7つの外湯巡りで有名な城崎温泉がある。
有馬温泉は日本三古湯の一つ。褐色の「金泉」、無色透明な「銀泉」の異なる泉質を楽しめる。
明石市から明石海峡を挟み淡路島にかかる明石海峡大橋は、世界最長の吊り橋。
南側は鳴門海峡を挟み大鳴門橋で徳島県鳴門市につながっている。
その他、六甲山は日本三大夜景の一つといわれ、神戸の街並みや海が一望できる。
朝来市にある竹田城跡は、秋から冬にかけて晴れた早朝に雲海が見られることもあり、その幻想的な風景が「天空の城」「日本のマチュピチュ」と呼ばれ、石垣が見事に残る戦国時代の山城跡がある。

Himeji castle in Himeji city was arranged in its current appearance in the early Edo period and the whole castle is also known as shirasagi castle because it look like a shirasagi taking off and it was the firet World Heritage site in Japan to be registered in 1993.
The collaboration with cherry blossoms is beautiful in spring.
The northern part of the prefecture is called Tajima and Toyooka city has Kinosaki onsen. which is famous for visiting 7 hot springs with a retro atmosphere from the Taisho period.
Arima onsen is one of the three old hot springs in Japan.
You can enjoy different spring qualiities of brown gold spring and colorless transparent silver spring.
The Akashi Kaikyo bridge across the Akashi strait from Akashi city to Awaji Island is the longest suspension bridge in the world.
The south side is across the Naruto strait and connects to Naruto city Tokushima prefecture by the Great Naruto
Bridge.
In addition Mt.Rokko is said to be one of the three major night views in Japan and you can overlook the cityscape and the sea of Kobe.

You can sometimes see a sea of clouds in the early morning when it is sunny from autumn to winter and its fantastic .scenery is called the castle in the sky Japan's Machupicchu and there are mountain castle ruins of the sengoku period where stone walls remain beautifully.
