県庁所在の仙台市は、東北地方最大の都市であり、仙台駅は多くの人達が行きかう。

仙台から電車で約３０分移動した松島は日本三景の一つ。松島湾に浮かぶ、千貫島、仁王島などとそれぞれ名がつけられた岩を観光船に乗り巡ることができる。

東北地方は、伝統工芸品・民芸品として、温泉地にこけしが受け継がれている。

In the hot springs there are Akiu onsen, Sakunami onsen, Naruko onsen etc and for gourmets there are fresh seafood from the pacific coast oysters and high-class ingredients shark fins, beef tongue and Zundamochi.
In the Tohoku region Kokeshi is inherited in hot spring resorts as traditional crafts and folk crafts.
